It’s a game that takes place over five acts (four if you choose not to include the expansion content when starting a new character… but why would you?), and tells the tale of the return of the Diablo, the demon king of the world of Sanctuary.
This is a lot of fun but since there are only three waves it never lasts very long and isn’t available online at all times, but only when the game decides.For those not in the know, Diablo II is a dungeon-crawling looter RPG that originally released on PC all the way back in 2000. A certain number has to be retrieved each wave, by defeating various randomly appearing boss enemies with weapons you’re randomly assigned at the beginning of a wave. This places you on a small island and has you trying to defeat ‘Salmonids’ in order to collect their eggs. The one aspect of the game that is entirely new is a four-player co-op mode called Salmon Run. At time of writing the latter wasn’t available for us to try, so we’ll have to wait and see whether concerns of it being worryingly overcomplicated are justified.
You can also play everything locally if you want, including via LAN play, and there’s generally more help in finding and competing with friends – including an online lounge and the promise of voice chat over a smartphone app.

That is difficult to not only achieve, but maintain as you can drop a rank as easily as gain one. What is new for Splatoon 2 is League Battle, for which you have to be rank B- or higher. You have to be level 10 before you can play a ranked match, but that’s easily achievable with a few hours play (and judicious use of new snack items that can increase your experience points).
